INSPIRE was developed by Springboard to meet the hospitality sector’s ongoing need to attract new talent across the business. When research was conducted to understand the positive influences in career choice, the single biggest influencer was work experience. The reality of work experience being delivered across the sector is inconsistent and mainly planned and delivered by employees with little or no experience or guidance of how to provide great work experience. INSPIRE is designed to change all that and is supported by the Master Innholders, St Julian Scholar’s and the Worshipful Company of Innholders and endorsed by the BHA, People 1st and the Hotel Employers Group.INSPIRE is the definitive, step by step, guide for anyone wishing to provide first class work experience in the hospitality industry. Subscribing to INSPIRE
- On subscribing to INSPIRE, each hotel will receive within 28 days
- A four volume pack that will include step by step guidance and support to deliver across all four work placement types
- A CD full of supporting materials including templates, sample letters and sample placement plans
- A secure username and password giving you full exclusive subscriber access to www.inspire.springboarduk.net. This contains easy to access and user friendly templates, online ordering facility. In the future, there will be access to case studies sharing best practice, Broker (student / employer) search facility, video footage of good practice and much more.
- Every hotel that subscribes to INSPIRE is entitled to use the unique INSPIRE kitemark – which informs anyone looking for work experience that you are a recognised provider of quality work experience. To ensure quality standards are be adhered to, Springboard will be conducting mystery shopper, placement feedback evaluation to ensure that hotels who have signed up to delivering the benchmarks, are in fact doing so.
